How I Learned This The Hard Way
I grew up in Mississauga, just outside Toronto. From the outside, my childhood looked successful… supportive family, financial stability, music, sports, good grades, and a strong social circle.
On the inside, I battled Anxiety, Tourette’s, and OCD. For 15 years, the tics left me with chronic neck and spine pain. To cope, I chased achievement and validation, trying to be “normal,” people-pleasing, and mastering every skill I could to feel worthy.
By my twenties, I had built a music school, toured internationally, and launched a creative business. But behind it all, I was trapped in cycles of burnout, toxic behaviours, and avoidance of my pain. In 2021, it all caught up with me… severe OCD episodes, poor health, 12–15 hour workdays, disconnection from loved ones, and complete nervous system collapse.
Rock bottom led me to my first men’s group, where for the first time I felt safe to share without judgment. That opened the door to years of mentorship, retreats, leadership, and deep inner work. I learned to face my shadows, take responsibility, and lead myself.
From that, Nurtr Wellness was born. Today, I support men through coaching, men’s groups, and community. Helping them live with freedom, deepen relationships, and inspire others.
Most men try to solve their problems by consuming more information. Books. Podcasts. Random hacks.
But information without integration changes nothing.
