Welcome to Grounded.

This isn't about meditating more or optimizing your morning routine. This is about understanding your nervous system. The actual biological system underneath your stress, your anxiety, and your exhaustion. You will learn how to work with it instead of against it.

What We Will Cover Together

Week 1

Nervous System Fundamentals

Understand Your Patterns

  • Gain awareness of personal stress triggers and learn how to self-regulate in real time

  • Map where your nervous system patterns started and why you respond the way you do

Week 3

Change Your State

  • Learn the difference between up-regulation and down-regulation — and when you need each one in any given situation

  • Understand exactly how your breath is controlling your nervous system

  • Build your personal nervous system toolkit & develop new habits that will support you

Week 4

Emotional Mastery

  • Finally understand the difference between emotions and feelings (why this changes everything)

  • Understanding The Emotion Wheel

  • Practice moving through stuck emotions instead of managing, suppressing, or avoiding them

Week 5

Needs & Boundaries

  • Learning how to say no so you can reclaim your time, energy, and focus

  • Learn how to set and hold boundaries without guilt or conflict

  • Practice non-violent communication that reduces defensiveness and builds trust

Week 6

Integration + Accountability

  • A complete practice library and curated resource list to go as deep as you want moving forward

  • Create accountability systems for your success

  • Complete your final Nervous System Health Assessment to see progress made

Meet Your Facilitator, Ian.

Ian knows what a dysregulated nervous system feels like.

Growing up with severe Tourette Syndrome and OCD, he didn't learn about the nervous system from a textbook. He lived it. The physical pain from his tics, the intrusive thoughts, the feeling of being trapped in a body that wouldn't relax — these weren't concepts to study. They were his everyday.

What Tourette's gave him, underneath all of it, was an intimate and embodied understanding of what it means to be at war with your own nervous system. To feel dysregulated not as a metaphor, but as a physical reality you can't escape.

That experience became his greatest teacher.

The tools Ian teaches aren't things he stumbled across and found interesting. They're the things that actually worked - built through decades of lived experience, and refined through study, practice, and a relentless commitment to understanding why the body does what it does.

Ian is now a trauma-informed coach, embodiment facilitator, and the founder of Nurtr Wellness. His work sits at the intersection of nervous system regulation, emotional intelligence, and communication — the three things that determine how a leader actually shows up when it matters most.

Over 300 hours of specialist training, a trauma-informed coaching certification, 200 hr yoga teacher training, and years of study with world-leading facilitators inform an approach that is grounded, direct, and built for lasting change.
